| The Raven and the First Men was sculpted from Yellow cedar by the famous Bill Reid. It depicts the native Haida legend of Raven meeting the first men after the great flood. They were cowering in a bivalve, and Raven coxed them out to see the clean, new world. This carving is a featured piece in the University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology. | Jericho Beach is just a bike ride away from UBC (University of British Columbia) Vancouver. It is a focal point of life and activity. Located close to shops and eateries, it would be the perfect place for a student to exercise, study, or maybe just watch the clouds envelop the mountains. | On top of Grouse Mountain, there is so much to see and do. Attractions include eco-tours, lumberjack spectacles, some movies, a raptor show, a bear enclosure, and native inspired wood carvings throughout the whole park. | To get up the mountain, a gondola is required. On the way back down, I swear I was the only one speaking English. Vancouver is such an international city.
